Jed Neff

Loganville, Georgia, United States

Hailing from the suburbs of Binghamton, New York, Jed's first experience with sports was a Binghamton Rangers home hockey game. He was hooked from his very first puck drop. The Binghamton hockey club became a pillar of his youth, even checking in on the team while deployed in Afghanistan in 2008-2009 while the team had since transitioned to be the Binghamton Senators. Although never able to play hockey himself, Jed has always been a fan of the game and has grown to enjoy all levels of play, regardless of what teams are on the ice. Having found the SMWW scouting course, Jed took the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the game he has loved his entire life. While deepening his own understanding of the game, he has passed his love for hockey onto his son, Leo, with their current home team, the Atlanta Gladiators.

Outside of hockey, Jed played baseball in his younger years, transitioning to football and competitive weightlifting in high school. He has coached several youth football clinics and was part of the small group of athletes who established Mill Creek Hawks football at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, Georgia. His first job involving sports was as a general laborer building the very high school stadium in which he played his senior year of high school football. He now continues his sports journey looking for new opportunities in the great game of hockey.
