Damian Smith

A Michigan native, Smith has over 15 years of basketball experience.  For the last 7 years, Smith has worked with the Atlanta Hawks (NBA) in Community Basketball Programs as a lead development coach.  Smith also has had the opportunity to coach men’s and women’s basketball with coaching stops at Clayton State University (D2), Kalamazoo Valley CC (JUCO), Glen Oaks CC (JUCO), and at the high school level. 

Most recently Smith completed SMWW’s Basketball General Manager & Scouting certification under the mentorship of Carl Berman (NetScouts) and Mark Warkentien (Oklahoma City Thunder, NBA).  Smith holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Professional Studies and an Associate of Business Administration from Davenport University. He also earned an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

As a basketball scout, Smith will deliver a professional approach to his work and relationships as a representative of SMWW/NetScouts. I’m available to assist you with any of your basketball or scouting needs.
